In the third quarter of 2025, Georgia's economy saw a year-on-year growth of 6.4%, following a 7.3% increase in the preceding quarter. This represents the slowest growth rate since the final quarter of 2023. The deceleration can be attributed to reduced activity in several sectors, including information and communication (21.1% as opposed to 37.1% in the second quarter), administrative and support services (a decrease to 9.6% from 13.6%), education (down to 20.7% from 28.9%), human health and social work activities (10.4% compared to 14.3%), and arts, entertainment, and recreation (13% versus 16%). Additionally, there were contractions in the output of the mining and quarrying sector (-8.7% compared to 0.1%), water supply (-0.8% contrasted with 8.4%), and agriculture (-5.4% versus -2.5%). Conversely, growth was observed in the manufacturing sector, which rose to 2.5% from 2%, wholesale and retail trade improved to 3% from 1.5%, real estate increased to 2.6% from 1.7%, financial and insurance activities surged to 14.7% from 11.8%, and transportation and storage rose to 8.1% from 3.1%. The construction sector also rebounded, recording an uptick to 0.2% from a previous contraction of -2.6%.
